LocationThe Malaysian Petronas Philharmonic Hall is located strategically between the Petronas Tiwn Towers
and KLCC. The hall is the first purpose built concert hall in Malaysia which is built by Petronas.
The hall is also the home of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra and has hosted various performances
by leading artists and orchestras. OverviewThe Malaysian Petronas Philharmonic Hall is a concert hall shaped of a jewel box and is
able to hold up a capacity of 885 people. This unique design of its space is to cater for
all kinds of music ranging from orchestra with chorus, to solo violin and even for
Malaysian dance. The hall is equipped for professional recording and is totally isolated
from the surrounding shopping malls, science center and office towers. The most unique
feature of the hall is that its ceilings are movable to change the acoustic volume of the
hall from as low as 470,000f2 for chamber music concerts and meetings to as high as
670,000f2 for concerts involving large orchestra and also for organ recitals. This unique
design is the work of the acoustic consultant, Kirkegaard Associates. After a visiting the hall you can go to the Suria KLCC shopping mall for some shopping.
